Q & A with Philicia from The Slaying Self Doubt Podcast

When did you start podcasting?

I started podcasting in July 2018 and I officially launched the podcast in March 2019

Why did you start podcasting?

I honestly started podcasting because God told me to! He gave me the vision and showed me that podcasting about my journey was a part of the plan.

What’s the name of your show and what is it about?

The Slaying Self Doubt Podcast ™️ is a movement to empower black women to identify, acknowledge and overcome their doubts and limiting beliefs in order to give birth to their God-given purpose.

What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.

I use a HP laptop and Audacity to record/edit my solo episodes. I use Zoom to record my guest episodes and edit on Audacity. My microphone of choice is Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB microphone. I use Wavve for the audiograms.

How have you promoted your podcast?

I promote my podcast through my newsletter and social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?

I wish I knew how easy it was to start and how much fun I would have doing it! I wish I knew how to properly launch the podcast I literally just pressed publish one day because I was so nervous.
