When did you start podcasting?
I started Podcasting in April 2018
Why did you start podcasting?
My dad has had Parkinson’s for 3 years now. I wanted to share our family’s journey.
I wanted to share important information, the good and bad of what we have learned in dealing with this disease.
Podcasting has been so rewarding for spreading our everyday stories.
My Dad has a great life managing the symptoms. With lots of exercise and the love of family and friends most days you wouldn’t know he has Parkinson’s.
Mom and I needed to share our news. I share great recipes too.
What’s the name of your show about and what is it about?
My Podcasts is Me, Mom, Dad and Parkinson’s.
What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.
My podcasts set-up is from my Apple computer. I am using Audacity software with a Shure microphone connected to a Scarlett Solo.
I have a small room that I made into a recording studio.
How have you promoted your podcast?
I promote my Podcasts using Libsyn of course, then Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Instagram, and word of mouth.
I also share podcasts with Parkinson’s groups.
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
How much fun and rewarding podcasting can be.
