Q & A with Diana from Talk From Superheroes
When did you start podcasting?

Why did you start podcasting?
My partner and I had already launched a successful webcomic and Youtube channel about superheroes. Podcasting was the next logical step and seemed like it would be really fun.
We’re both comedians who love talking about superheroes so it was a chance to share our passion with the world, and have a few laughs.
What’s the name of your show and what is it about?
Our show is called Talk From Superheroes.
Every week myself and my co-host Andrew Ivimey break down a superhero movie or TV show and highlight everything you never noticed in your favorite franchises, like how Ant-Man created an immortality machine in Avengers: Endgame or that the Mandalorian is a full-on Union Man.
What’s your podcasting set-up?
We use the RØDECaster Pro sound board to record and it makes life oh so easy whether we’re recording in-studio or have a guest phoning in.
We can easily mute microphones, play our theme song straight from the sound board and adjust individual audio levels.
We use the RØDE Podmic for our in-studio sessions and process our audio using Garageband.
How have you promoted your podcast?
We do a lot of cross-promotion via ad-swaps with podcasts on our network and with podcasts not on our network that have similar fan-bases.
We also purchased ads on large podcasts when we first started out.
Both hosts of our show will guest on other podcasts as frequently as possible and we also speak on panels at comic book conventions and are occasionally featured guests on the local news when there is a nerdy topic to cover.
We post all of our episodes on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr and will frequently create graphics or audiograms of our funniest moments or observations as these tend to share better on social media.
We also submit our podcast for features (like this one!) and awards (for example, we have been nominated for six Canadian Podcast Awards).
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
Pretty much EVERYONE wants to be a guest on your podcast, don’t be afraid to ask.
