When did you start podcasting?<\/b><\/h3>\n

We started podcasting in June 2019 and have 147 episodes out as of April 2022!<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you think about starting a podcast?<\/b><\/h3>\n

We started to podcast about spy movies because we felt there was a need to go beyond James Bond. <\/span><\/p>\n

So, we cover classic spy movies, from the 1935 film <\/span>The 39 Steps<\/span><\/i> directed by Hitchcock, to James Bond, <\/span>Mission: Impossible<\/span><\/i> and current releases as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s the name of your show and what is it about?<\/b><\/h3>\n

The show is called Cracking the Code of Spy Movies. <\/span><\/p>\n

We decode spy movies from classics to current releases, diving deeply into scene analysis, the pre-title sequences, gadgets and more. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, we interview directors, actors and authors as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, we are \u00a0promoting our monthly \u201cSpy Movie News\u201d episodes where we research for hours to summarize in 15 minutes: listening time, what is happening with new spy movie releases, actors, acquisitions and other spy movie info! Very popular!<\/span><\/p>\n

Our goal is that our listeners will discover something NEW in EVERY episode! We do a lot of research!<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcast set up?\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

We use a Rodecaster Pro to record our episodes with Shure microphones. <\/span><\/p>\n

We also record over Zoom. <\/span><\/p>\n

And we use a variety of software to edit, like Audacity, Adobe and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

How have you promoted your podcast?<\/b><\/h3>\n

We have done some Facebook advertising and have had a lot of word-of-mouth success as well.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

But we need to be better and reach more listeners!\u00a0 We have a major presence on Facebook (with 13,000+ followers) and on Twitter and Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?<\/b><\/h3>\n

We wish in the beginning we knew how difficult it is to grow a following \u2014 it happens but it takes time and lots of effort.<\/span><\/p>\n
