Q & A with Shaun from ETMF Podcast<\/h2>\n

When did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

I (Shaun), Derek, and Andre started our podcast in March of this year.<\/p>\n

Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

We love podcasts! They help us get through the day at our 9\u20135 jobs and we thought it would be cool to entertain people the same way other shows entertain us.<\/p>\n

After a few podcasts talked about how they just started their podcasts because it\u2019s what they wanted we decided to stop talking about it and actually act.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your show about?<\/h3>\n

In the ETMF Podcast <\/a>we like to cover an array of topics. Every week we talk about what\u2019s going on in our lives and if we\u2019ve played any video games the past week. But we have also covered TV, movies, music, and things happening in pop culture.<\/p>\n

We try to cover what\u2019s hot at the moment.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcasting set-up?<\/h3>\n

We usually record at Derek\u2019s apartment on his Mac using Garage Band and microphones.<\/p>\n

We are currently testing recording using Garage band over Google Hangout since we always can\u2019t get to his place when we planned.<\/p>\n

How have you promoted your podcast?<\/h3>\n

We use Facebook the most. We have a page for the show as well as share on our personal pages and friends also share the podcast.<\/p>\n

We also use Twitter and tell people we meet about the show and our webpage.<\/p>\n

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?<\/h3>\n

We wish we knew all the steps to just get the first show out. We didn\u2019t factor how long it would take to order equipment, get an rss feed, create a webpage, submit to iTunes and Stitcher, and finally get the show recorded.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a much bigger undertaking than we anticipated but it gets much easier as time goes on.<\/p>\n
