Q & A with Bruce Naylor from The Queen and I Podcast<\/h2>\n

When did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

We started podcasting April of 2013<\/p>\n

Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

My wife and I both are fans of podcasting. We really wanted to develop our own show, and do this as couple. We love learning the ins and outs, and its a great hobby for us!<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your show about?<\/h3>\n

My wife \u201cThe Queen\u201d Cindee, and I have been happily married for 21 years. What makes us unique is that we work together, and are around each other 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.<\/p>\n

So many people ask us how \u00a0do we do it? We have found ourselves talking about marriage, relationships and family so much, we thought why not make a podcast around that<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The most important thing for us is to make sure we try to leave everyone with a smile, and maybe a little insight on building a stronger relationship with their loved ones.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.<\/h3>\n

Our podcast equipment consists of two ATR 2100 Mics, A Berhringer X1622USB Mixer, a Roland R\u201305 Digital recorder, and a Behringer HA400 Headphone Amplifier.<\/p>\n

All editing is done using Audacity on a 2009 Mac Pro. We host our own WordPress site and use the Powerpress plugin for podcasting and creating the RSS feed.<\/p>\n

And of course Libsyn for hosting the content!<\/p>\n

How have you promoted your podcast?<\/h3>\n

We have been using our new FaceBook fan page<\/a> to promote the show, as well as friends. We tweet out our episodes when they are ready to go.<\/p>\n

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?<\/h3>\n

I wish we had better prepared to launch the Podcast by letting more people know about the podcast, and the importance of good cover art.<\/p>\n

Oh, and it really requires a lot learning to master all the equipment and software. It really is hard work to create the content, and put a \u00a0podcast together. You develop a lot respect for the hard work podcasters put into their shows.<\/p>\n
