When did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

I launched The Inside Social Media Podcast<\/a> on April 8, 2013<\/p>\n

Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

My friends in the online space who had successful podcasts already had been pushing me for a while to do a show.\u00a0 I laughed at them because I knew nothing about audio, was intimidated about being behind the mic and I HATE hearing my own voice on any kind of media (ewe, no no no).<\/p>\n

I finally gave in and considered it.\u00a0 I came up with an angle, format and frequency and watched Pat Flynn\u2019s free podcasting tutorial to get started.\u00a0 I ordered the equipment he recommended and recorded an intro.<\/p>\n

I then sent it to those same people who had been encouraging me to start to get their opinion.\u00a0 They loved it!\u00a0 And they even said I had an \u201cawesome\u201d media voice.\u00a0 Ha, I was off and running.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your show about?<\/h3>\n

I interview heads of social media (and social media \u201cinfluencers\u201d) from the most successful brands in the world.<\/p>\n

With the show,\u00a0I promote the innovative and successful strategies these big brands\u00a0are using on\u00a0social\u00a0media\u00a0and then how small businesses can learn from and model their success.<\/p>\n

My vision is that small business can then learn from these stories and insights and have their own\u00a0success\u00a0while working within their often minimal (or no) budgets.<\/p>\n

My goal is to be promoting the brands and people that I\u2019m talking with while helping small businesses.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.<\/h3>\n

Ah, I love getting all geeky with this\u2026<\/p>\n
