Q & A with Ludwina Dautovic from Switched On<\/h2>\n

When did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

I started podcasting in 2010. My first show was called \u2018Red Tent Radio\u2019 and is still available on iTunes.<\/p>\n

I recorded 66 episodes before the show folded. My business had changed so the focus of the show was no longer relevant.<\/p>\n

I then produced a show called \u2018It\u2019s That Easy\u2019 which was purely set up for the release of my book \u2018It\u2019s That Easy \u2013 Online Marketing 3.0<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also the co-host of another ongoing Podcast called \u2018Podcast Like a Pro\u2019 and am now producing a new show called \u2018Switched On\u2019 which will be my ongoing business podcast.<\/p>\n

Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

I was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer earlier that year.<\/p>\n

I needed to figure out a way to keep my business brand alive while I was working through it. My criteria was \u2018what can I do to keep my brand alive that doesn\u2019t require me to look good, feel good or go anywhere?\u2019 Podcasting was the ideal answer as I could do it in bed.<\/p>\n

I ended up interviewing global CEO\u2019s of major corporations in my pajamas. Little did I know that it would be the single most smartest online marketing strategy I could ever do. (BTW I\u2019m nearly four years Cancer free now)<\/p>\n

\"3DOnlineMarketingwSpine<\/a>What\u2019s your show about?<\/h3>\n

My current show is my 4th podcast show. It\u2019s called Switched On. I have Switched On conversations with global thought leaders in the areas of online, digital and new media. It\u2019s not a \u2018how to\u2019 show, it\u2019s a show that has me peering into their minds and extracting the core understandings, insights and future predictions of this industry.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fairly new with only four episodes. So far I\u2019ve had Chris Adams, Global CEO of Spondo.com, Andrew Grill former CEO Kred and now a Global Partner for IBM and my most recent episode is with Erik Qualman, the producer of the Social Media Revolution youtube videos that annually receive millions of hits.<\/p>\n

The line up of future guests also includes Rob Walch from Libsyn. We recorded it the other day and had a blast.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.<\/h3>\n

I keep it fairly simple. I have my laptop, a Blue Yeti Microphone, pop filter and I record using Skype and Callburner.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m about to get a mixer and digital recorder. It\u2019s time to upgrade!<\/p>\n

How have you promoted your podcast?<\/h3>\n

I use a multitude of strategies.<\/p>\n
