This series is all about showcasing Libsyn podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We put our first video cast out on youtube about a year and a half ago. Since then we have gone to primarily audio casts, but me still mix in special video casts every once in a while.<\/p>\n We started podcasting in the hopes that we could get people thinking less dogmatically about health related topics, as well as get health professionals talking about \u2018edgy\u2019 areas of health that others would avoid because of the stigma attached<\/p>\n (E.X. Medical Marijuana, Psychedelic Plants for Mental Disorders and Addictions etc).<\/p>\n We just felt as though truly honest conversations in health were missing in several areas of the subject, and we wanted to get into those \u2018dirty corners\u2019- we feel that we have found a way to accomplish this goal in a very entertaining way.<\/p>\n The Outlaws of Health<\/a> is about every health related topic under the sun- from CrossFit, to Performance Enhancing Drugs, to supplementation.<\/p>\n Where our show differs from other health related podcasts is in how the content is approached in conversation. We don\u2019t avoid taboo topics, we speak our minds, and we get people to look inwardly at their health choices to justify the \u2018why\u2019 behind the actions they are taking in their own health.<\/p>\n We started out using a simple macbook and some usb microphones and skype. Now we are going full studio with Audiobox mixing and software, Audio Technica hardware for the recording technology, and still with mac products for the CPU platform.<\/p>\n It\u2019s fine to start with what you have, but audio quality can sometimes be more important than anything else when it is the primary delivery system for your message.<\/p>\n Up until this point it has just been word of mouth and promotion from bigger names in the industry.<\/p>\n We aren\u2019t looking to monetize or get famous- we just want to get a different kind of information out there to an audience that appreciates it. That could change in the future, but for now the focus is on getting better at what we are doing and increasing the quality of our product.<\/p>\n We are 60 Episodes in but nowhere near as effective as we want to be in the near future.<\/p>\n I wish I knew that people who don\u2019t like what you\u2019re doing will be more vocal about your show than those who love it- and that engaging with those listeners is a waste of time.<\/p>\n In the beginning we spent time addressing and altering our show based off of negative feedback instead of affirming our positives through our enthusiastic listeners.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve come to realize that a good base of \u2018haters\u2019 is a key indicator to your rising success, but you can\u2019t adapt your process to anyone other than the true fans.<\/p>\n If you want honest and no holds barred conversation about fitness then you really do need to subscribe<\/a> and be an Outlaw of Health!
