Q & A with Anna from The Entertainment Industry Podcast<\/h2>\n

When did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

Launched March 15, 2014, we have listeners in over 90 countries, 6 continents and have been listed in iTunes New & Noteworthy and What\u00b4s Hot section.<\/p>\n

Why did you start podcasting<\/h3>\n

My Dad suggested it after hearing John Lee Dumas Entrepreneurs on Fire. We\u00b4re podcasters paradise members \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcast about<\/h3>\n

Entertainment Drive Thru<\/a> is about the Entertainment Industry. \u201cThere is no guide to the entertainment industry\u201d so Dan and Anna Zerin interview people in the industry to learn from their mistakes.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.<\/h3>\n

We record through skype, edit through logic, upload through libsyn to itunes, stitcher, etc. We also upload episodes to soundcloud<\/a> and youtube<\/a> to get more audience.<\/p>\n

We use social media and word of mouth to promote, although we are working on getting in touch with performing schools and putting up posters and flyers there.<\/p>\n

How have you promoted your podcast?<\/h3>\n

We tried facebook ads but it didn\u00b4t work for us. I use mailchimp to gather people for the newsletter and send to interviewees as well. For website we use PlayCast theme by Joey Kissimme<\/a>, i\u00b4ve listened to Amy Porterfield advice for facebook.<\/p>\n

For social media putting wisdom pictures (Quote from guest on their picture) works best, make sure you tag the guest.<\/p>\n

I\u00b4ve also been trying out click to tweet, but i do THE BASIC manually, put in \u201c@GUEST twitter name, \u201dawesome interview on @YOURSHOW\u2026. \u00a0LINK”, good to keep track \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?<\/h3>\n

I wish I knew how to get listeners and enough monetizations to live off it. It\u00b4s a challenge.<\/p>\n

Not as easy as John Lee Dumas says it is \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n

Wish I had a business person to take care of all that so we could just do the interviews and PR for it!<\/p>\n
