This series is all about showcasing Libsyn podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I officially launched my show in July 2015.<\/p>\n I started a show in 2014, but never went through the process of hosting and using podcasts directories.<\/p>\n I am a huge fan of podcasts in general and decided I wanted to create my own show. I felt like I have something to share with the world as well as the women on my show.<\/p>\n In hindsight, I am glad my original show didn\u2019t see the light of day I went in a completely different direction (creatively).<\/p>\n The Unconventional Woman is a podcast featuring women talking about life in general.<\/p>\n Our motto is to challenge the status quo and live out our dreams the way we see fit.<\/p>\n I use both Skype and Garageband to record our conversations.<\/p>\n I also use 317 Sound Design for editing, Libsyn for hosting and Buffer for scheduling my episode releases.<\/p>\n I mainly utilize Social Media (i.e.Twitter<\/a>, Instagram and Facebook<\/a>), email marketing and word of mouth.<\/p>\n While I am active on a few directories, I don\u2019t rely on them to be my primary marketing vessel.<\/p>\n Scheduling is crucial, it\u2019s the key element in being consistent with your episode releases. I now know the importance of planning ahead.<\/p>\n Words of advice:<\/strong><\/p>\n Remain true to who you are, don\u2019t try to be or sound like someone else.<\/p>\n Also quiet the noise, there is so much great advice out there but you have to trust your gut and go for what you know.
