This series is all about Libsyn\u2019s podcasters. It\u2019s sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The \u201cSupport is Sexy\u201d podcast officially launched on Monday, July 4, 2016.<\/p>\n Empowering women to consider support in a different way is one of my passions, and the podcast is one way to feature powerful, successful women who have come to realize that they are as strong as their support networks.<\/p>\n I want to debunk the superwoman myth \u2013 this idea that having it all means doing it all alone. It doesn\u2019t!<\/p>\n As an entrepreneur for the past few years, I\u2019ve found that \u201csuccessful\u201d women and women entrepreneurs and leaders, especially, often struggle with asking for \u2013 and accepting \u2013 support.<\/p>\n It not only hurts our business and our progress, it can affect our health. So on the \u201cSupport is Sexy\u201d podcast<\/a> I interview inspiring women entrepreneurs, leaders and creatives and have them tell the true stories of the ups and downs of their journeys, and how support helped them through it. It\u2019s \u201creal talk\u201d with heart.<\/p>\n Five days a week, Monday through Friday, I interview inspiring women entrepreneurs and leaders who share the true stories of their journeys\u2013where they started, when they struggled and how they still made it happen thanks to the support of those around them.<\/p>\n The goal is to empower listeners to know that having it all doesn\u2019t mean doing it all alone \u2013 and the podcast is just one source of support for them!<\/p>\n What\u2019s your\u00a0podcasting\u00a0set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.<\/p>\n I record my interviews using ECamm via Skype. Although I only use the audio from the interviews, I tell my guests that I prefer Skype for the interviews because seeng each other makes the conversation flow better (and, secretly, it makes them pay full attention and not try to multi-task). \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n I use an ATR2100 microphone and do all of my editing in Garageband. I use Libsyn to host the podcast, and embed the episodes on my web site<\/a>, along with the show notes.<\/p>\n I currently promote primarily on social media \u2013 on Facebook<\/a>, Twitter<\/a>, Instagram<\/a> for my personal accounts and on the Support is Sexy public accounts.<\/p>\n I currently don\u2019t pay for promotion, but I am considering Facebook ads once I have a third week of episodes (15 in total) published.<\/p>\n Feel like this will give people a good sense of what the show is about (and, as is the case with most of us, the more recent episodes tend to be better!).<\/p>\n I\u2019m also doing stuff like this with Libsyn!<\/p>\n Reaching out to share info about the podcast and spread the word, and pitching myself as a guest on other people\u2019s podcasts is also a priority.<\/p>\n That, pretty early on, if I want to do a podcast five days a week\u2013as opposed to weekly\u2013I am going to need\u2026wait for it\u2026 SUPPORT!<\/p>\n Booking guests, conducting the interviews, editing the content, writing all the copy and\u00a0managing the social media promotion takes considerable time. Too much, actually, for one person.<\/p>\n So finding the right person to assist me is high on my list of priorities!<\/p>\n How about it?
