This series is all about Libsyn\u2019s podcasters. It\u2019s sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I started podcasting in May 2006.<\/p>\n I joined a podcast network called Solid Vox. The founder, Prodos from Australia, wanted to create a hub of podcasters interested in philosophy.<\/p>\n The idea was to participate as a host, an assistant to the producer, and a mentor for future podcasters.<\/p>\n My show, EGO NetCast<\/a>, is about new media, business philosophy, and the good life (including tea).<\/p>\n I record my solo shows with Boss Jock studio app. I have stored a jingle and bumpers in the carts.<\/p>\n I use\u00a0a Samson Meteor USB microphone, connected with a lightning to USB camera adapter, to my iPhone 6S Plus. I place the iPhone on small stand in a SnapRecorder portable recording booth.<\/p>\n I have placed a piece of sound-absorbing material on a bench, behind my back. I export the recording to Dropbox and then I do the post production through Auphonic on my MacBook.<\/p>\n After I have uploaded the file to my Libsyn account, I validate the RSS feed on Podba.se. I then listen to the episode on my standalone podcast app.<\/p>\n I publish the show notes and podcast player in a blog post on my site (Squarespace).<\/p>\n I record the interviews with Ringr app. I plug in a\u00a0IK Multimedia iRig Mic Cast microphone in my iPhone. I monitor the recording with a pair of KOSS UR10 on-ear headphones.<\/p>\n I schedule my guests through a personal A.I. virtual assistant service called X.ai.<\/p>\n I tell my friends to download my standalone app on their smartphones! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n I have arranged meetups for podcasters and listeners to radio-on-demand, in Gothenburg, Sweden.<\/p>\n I have done sessions at conferences and I have been booked for speaking engagements on social media, including podcasting.<\/p>\n I am avid user of Twitter<\/a> and I have conversations with guests and listeners. I do a pinned tweet with the latest episode of my podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n I share a link to my blog with the show notes and embedded podcast player on Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.<\/p>\n I take podcasting related pictures on Instagram. I will start to use Vine, Periscope, and Snapchat more in the future.<\/p>\n It will be interesting to see how my podcast could be promoted with the new destinations via Libsyn, e.g., iHeartRadio and YouTube.<\/p>\n How much work it takes to implement a podcasting workflow and how it could be a struggle to publish new episodes on a regular basis.<\/p>\n If you want to spend some time learning about new media, philosophy or simply immersing yourself in the good life, then you need to subscribe<\/a> to EGO NetCast!
