This series is all about showcasing Libsyn podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I recorded my pilot episode on October 15th, 2014 with local radio celebrity, Kevin Rolston of The KVJ Show.<\/p>\n I have always\u00a0been a daydreamer\u00a0full of inspiration; but, I\u00a0never really knew what\u00a0to do with it.<\/p>\n Writing? Dancing? Acting? Voiceover work?<\/p>\n Sounds super fun, but also super unrealistic to really pursue\u2026right?<\/p>\n But, then I would realize that\u00a0SOMEONE\u00a0is making it as a professional writer.<\/p>\n Someone\u00a0is making it as a professional dancer.<\/p>\n Someone\u00a0is making it as an actor, hockey player, singer, bakery-owner, radio host\u2026 the list goes on and on.<\/p>\n And, if somebody\u2019s\u00a0else\u00a0doing it, then why not me?\u00a0 Of course, the question remains:\u00a0HOW\u00a0are they doing it?\u00a0 I also realized that I can\u2019t possibly be the only person wondering these things\u2013and stuck in a cubicle while\u00a0doing it. The Curve the Cube Podcast<\/a> is my passion project aimed at inspiring people to pursue their dreams by talking to those who are doing just that!<\/p>\n Guests include: actors, artists, entertainers, radio and news personalities, writers, musicians, small business owners, dancers, charities, and more, including people with a particular sociocultural perspective or impact.<\/p>\n My guests range broadly in talents, including:<\/p>\n And, some of my favorite conversations have been with people who are on the brink of breaking through: artists, musicians, writers, non-profits, entrepreneurs, etc\u2026 They all have in common a pure passion for what they do. They are all curvists!<\/p>\n So often, we get an idea to go for something or discover a passion or talent for something, but, we\u2019re too scared or unsure of the \u201chow\u201d to actually do it.<\/p>\n Well, this podcast is your opportunity to listen on as I pick the brains of people who are doing something they love\u2014people I call \u201ccurvists.\u201d<\/p>\n They didn\u2019t box themselves in. They go against the grain and fight the current to live a life full of what they are passionate about.<\/p>\n As I say, they\u2019ve gone from standing alone to standing out, and their conversations come with plenty of insights and tricks of the trade, and a lot of laughs to go with it all.<\/p>\n So, whether full time, part time, or as a hobby on the side, find your passion\u2026. Do your thing!! And, my CTC Kids<\/a> series features amazing young spirits full of talent and focus that would be impressive at any age!<\/p>\n My podcast has to be portable; so, I use mobile voice recorders.<\/p>\n I won\u2019t even MENTION the first recorders I had. Yikes!! Currently, I am using:<\/p>\n I edit my audio files with Audacity and Wondershare.<\/p>\n I host with Libsyn (obviously, lol).<\/p>\n I have the podcast available on CurveTheCube.com<\/a>, iTunes, Stitcher, YouTube, TuneIn, and many other apps.<\/p>\n I have learned to listen to my guest more and talk over them less. I have also tried to become more and more aware of my own quirks, such as my often obnoxious laugh and overuse of the word \u201camazing.\u201d<\/p>\n How about it? Are you a <\/em>curvist? Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n
\nSo, one day, it hit me: start talking to people who\u00a0ARE\u00a0doing what they love.\u00a0 Better yet, start a podcast and share these messages with the world!\u00a0 So, I\u2019ve done just that and called it \u201cCurve the Cube.\u201d
\nSince starting this podcast project, I have been privileged to have\u00a0conversations with some of the most amazing people walking the\u00a0walk of their passion, and it\u2019s been AWESOME!<\/p>\nWhat\u2019s your show about?<\/h3>\n
