This series is all about showcasing Libsyn podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I started podcasting this summer after a few people encouraged me!<\/p>\n I have a background in radio and interviews, so it seemed like a natural next step. And, I\u2019m so glad I took that step!<\/p>\n It\u2019s been more amazing than I could have imagined, on so many levels.<\/p>\n My show is called Chefs Coast to Coast and I interview Chefs from the Gulf Coast to the Gold Coast, or Houston to Chicago, and ask them about their journey to becoming a Chef\u2014because it\u2019s HARD!\u2014and I ask them to share a recipe with us that we can make at home.<\/p>\n I round out the show with having them share their recipe for success\u2014they are so inspiring!<\/p>\n I use libsyn for hosting, a samson go-mic for my mic, and a mix of software for actually recording the interview: zencastr, FaceTime or Skype.<\/p>\n I also run an online magazine called www.LaurenIgnited.com, so I share each podcast with that episode each week.<\/p>\n I\u2019m also in a number of \u201cfoodie\u201d groups on Facebook so they love to hear from their favorite Chefs!<\/p>\n I share the episode in those groups each week. Other than that, I talk about it with friends and sometimes appear on other people\u2019s podcasts.<\/p>\n How much fun it really is to host a podcast!<\/p>\n It seems daunting at first. A lot of questions like, \u201cwho will agree to come on?\u201d ran through my mind. But, if you host a really great show, promote it well and get a few good guests on in the beginning, everything will just fall in place!<\/p>\n To all of you aspiring chefs, foodies and peeps who are interested in great stories, why not subscribe to Chefs Coast To Coast<\/a>?
