This series is all about libsyn podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We started 2 Middle Aged Dudes<\/a> and a Microphone in August of this year, 2016.<\/p>\n We were having a conversation earlier this year when some friends said, \u201cYou guys should have a radio show.\u201d<\/p>\n We didn\u2019t think much about it at the time, but then, a couple weeks later, the exact same thing happened again! So we started talking about doing a podcast together, and the rest is history!<\/p>\n Our show is all about weird news. We find the weirdest news stories out there. If they seem too weird to be true, we research. We only feature TRUE weird stories.<\/p>\n We use Samson mics, a Steinberg UR44 Audio Interface, Adobe Audition, Garageband (for the themes and jingles) and Libsyn hosting.<\/p>\n Since we\u2019re on a pretty tight budget, the only promoting we do is through social media. But it has been very effective.<\/p>\n We have a Facebook page and a Twitter account, and we post regularly on Reddit.<\/p>\n We are also part of the Ace Podcasting Network, and do a lot of cross-promo\u2019s with the other podcasts on the network.<\/p>\n I wish we\u2019d known to have a few episodes \u2018in the can\u2019 before we posted our first episode.<\/p>\n Be honest, who\u2019s not ready for some weird news, for their own sake.
