\nWhen did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n
My podcast launched Feb 1, 2017<\/p>\n
Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n
First of all I am a podcast junkie.<\/p>\n
Started listening to The Moth about 9 years ago.<\/p>\n
Secondly, I spent 10 years as a broadcast journalist (radio reporter) before moving on to a career in media relations and communications.<\/p>\n
While I was a reporter for a Toronto radio station I covered some pretty amazing stories.<\/p>\n
I saved a lot of my notes and tapes and thought it would be great to share them with a wider audience through a podcast.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s your show about?<\/h3>\n
My show is called 1995<\/a> and looks at some of the incredible news stories that year \u2013 many of which I covered as a reporter in Toronto.<\/p>\n Season one focuses on the trial of Paul Bernardo \u2013 Canada\u2019s most notorious killer. I sat inside the court for 4 months covering the trial from start to finish.<\/p>\n Season one of 1995 is broken up into 7 episodes and provides a first hand account of the trial with tons of great tape from all of the players involved.<\/p>\n Up next for 1995 will be an episode on the OJ Simpson verdict. I was outside the LA county courthouse that day.<\/p>\n Currently I record the podcast in the closet of my spare bedroom.<\/p>\n I use a Yeti Mic and Audacity Software. Libsyn is my amazing podcast host.<\/p>\n I have promoted my podcast on Facebook<\/a> and Twitter<\/a> and through a Private FB group called \u201cPodcasts We Listen To.\u201d<\/p>\n The members of this group are hugely supportive of new podcasters!<\/p>\n I wish I knew a better way to mix music into my podcast – I have not been able to figure out how to do this well with Audacity \u2639<\/p>\n Remember 1995?
