This series is all about Libsyn\u2019s podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I began hosting and producing the Addictions Podcast right around the beginning of July of this year, 2017. If I remember correctly, I uploaded my first episode of \u201cAddictions\u201d around the 2nd of July.<\/p>\n I started the Addictions podcast a few months into my official recovery as an addict. After going through my own 5 year long battle with addiction, I became very passionate about the subject.<\/p>\n The Addictions podcast mainly serves two key purposes: To be a support tool for addicts and anyone affected by addiction, and to help quell the vast amount of misinformation out there surrounding addiction, and the stigma that many people seem all too willing to slap on addicts.<\/p>\n I record my podcast using a Shure SM57 microphone hooked up with my Tascam US\u20131641 usb interface. I do the editing and mixing on my Windows 10 computer using FL Studio, and for post production I use Auphonic.com<\/p>\n I have mostly been promoting my podcast on Facebook, I have a page setup specifically dedicated to my show at facebook.com\/addictionspodcast<\/a> and a dedicated wordpress site at addictionspodcast.wordpress.com<\/a> I am currently looking into purchasing a domain for the show.<\/p>\n I wish I would have known that being shy is pointless. You need to just dive in and do it. If you have a passion for something, nothing is going to stop you from doing it. I also wish I would have started with Libsyn rather than starting on Soundcloud and then migrating my podcast to Libsyn.<\/p>\n If you are an addict looking for support and community, this is the podcast for you.
