This series is all about showcasing Libsyn podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I started podcasting after returning from Social Media Marketing World in 2015.<\/p>\n I heard from podcasters there about how podcasts engage audiences and thought, why not give it a go.<\/p>\n I had an audience on my blog and I thought about who they were, Project Managers who are usually strapped for time.<\/p>\n It made sense to put my words into audio format so they could listen to it on the run.<\/p>\n I could see these busy PM\u2019s listening to my podcast on their way to and from work. Learning whilst on their commute.<\/p>\n My show is about how to be a successful Project Manager<\/a>.<\/p>\n It focuses on the things that you aren\u2019t taught in your PM training; what\u2019s worked for me in managing risks, pieces about business case writing, lots on communication and leadership. It is focused on the people side of Project Management.<\/p>\n And it is also for people who manage many tasks and don\u2019t have formal project management training.<\/p>\n These people are often not considered \u201cProject Managers\u201d because they haven\u2019t completed formal training.<\/p>\n It is where my skills developed, BEFORE I did any formal project management training.<\/p>\n My setup is very simple.<\/p>\n I have a Rode Lapel Microphone and my iPhone with the Rode App on it.<\/p>\n That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n I record my podcasts wherever I am in the quietest spot possible.<\/p>\n I then use Audacity to do the editing work. When that\u2019s done I upload my file straight onto Libsyn.<\/p>\n I have the episodes available via my website and add links into my monthly newsletter.<\/p>\n New episodes are added automatically to my Facebook Page<\/a> and Twitter<\/a> feed, as well as the YouTube channel.<\/p>\n I haven\u2019t done a lot of other promotion for my podcast yet and was surprised to find that I have over 800 followers on Podcast Addict.<\/p>\n The podcast is available on iTunes and Stitcher Radio too.<\/p>\n Most listeners take my iTunes feed via Libsyn.<\/p>\n I wish I new how easy it was to get started. I would have done it years ago. I wish that I\u2019d understood how simple it is to edit an audio file.<\/p>\n I waited for help with the editing, and it\u2019s really easy once you know how. I would say to anyone wanting to start, go for it.<\/p>\n It really isn\u2019t hard and with these few simple tools you can create a great podcast that people will listen to.<\/p>\n Are you someone that\u2019s an overwhelmed Project Manager or simply wanna be better at managing projects, this is the podcast for you!
