This series is all about showcasing Libsyn podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We started to plan out an idea for what the show could be over the summer and launched with our first episode early in October. We\u2019ve done 16 episodes as of Jan. 2.<\/p>\n We\u2019re four close friends who met in college at West Virginia\u00a0University\u00a0and have since moved to different parts of the country.<\/p>\n I\u2019m a reporter in Charleston, West Virginia, Nick lives in Los Angeles, John is in Seattle and Cody is in business school at Duke University.<\/p>\n We decided we wanted to make a bigger effort to stay in touch more and talk more consistently and we decided that it would be fun to record our conversations and all the jokes we tell each other and release it as a podcast.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a comedy and pop culture show<\/a> where we gather around each week and talk about a wide range of\u00a0different topics every week that are centered around one major theme.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a lot of fun and I think one of the big things that stands out with us is our chemistry. We\u2019re so close as friends that we really get on a roll at times and it\u2019s a lot of fun to listen to.<\/p>\n We try to make it feel as if the listeners are there with us, gathered around wherever we are\u00a0having these conversations and laughing with us.<\/p>\n We record using Zencastr \u2014 it\u2019s been a great resource for us to all record high-quality audio from four different locations, which was obviously crucial for us as we went through the planning process as we put the show together.<\/p>\n For now, we all record out of our homes with USB microphones.<\/p>\n We really pride ourselves in good audio quality and I take a lot of time each week after we record to edit the\u00a0podcast to make sure it meets that standard because we want to make sure the listeners are having the best experience they could possibly have with our show.<\/p>\n Right now we\u2019re relying a lot on social media platforms like Twitter<\/a> and Facebook<\/a> to promote the show, as well as continuing to try to grow it using word of mouth \u2014\u00a0both from us telling others about it and trying to encourage listeners to spread the word about the show to other friends who might enjoy the show.<\/p>\n For me, the biggest thing is\u00a0continuing to learn how to promote the show.<\/p>\n We\u2019re still very new at this thing, but we think we have a very good product that is really entertaining and that a lot of people can enjoy.<\/p>\n But we\u2019re still learning about building an audience and I think that mostly comes with continuing to do the show and putting out quality content as consistently as we possibly can, and that\u2019s our main focus more than anything \u2014 we want to give our\u00a0listeners the best version of this show every week and we want to keep getting better every time we release a new episode.<\/p>\n Ah, yes, the gift of friendship and all the amazing experiences, conversations, commentary and comedy.
