Q & A with Nate Parrish from Wedway NOW!<\/h2>\n

When did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

I podcast with my brother, and we started in March of 2009.<\/p>\n

Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

We host a Disney history and touring podcast<\/a> and we just liked to talk about the subject whenever we got together. Our family had taken many trips to Walt Disney World and Disneyland and it really became the main topic of conversation each time we talked.<\/p>\n

After we discovered podcasts in 2007 we thought that we could probably put together a pretty good show based on our experience.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your show about?<\/h3>\n

Most of our shows focus on news about the Disney company and feature a guest from the Disney online community: either a blogger, or podcaster or Twitter personality.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.<\/h3>\n

For us, its real basic. We record over Skype as we live in different cities and it allows us to talk to guests easily. We use GarageBand to edit, Rogue Amoeba to record and we both use Blue Yeti USB microphones<\/p>\n

How have you promoted your podcast?<\/h3>\n

I like to say that we \u2018Built our podcast on Twitter.\u2019 That is where we do the bulk of our promotions. We utilize as many social networks as we can but find that Twitter allows the easiest interaction<\/p>\n

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?<\/h3>\n

I wish I would have known that for listeners to feel like they are a part of a community that we needed a quality website for listeners to visit and leave feedback.<\/p>\n
