This series is all about Libsyn\u2019s podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I uploaded my first piece of audio content in November 2017.<\/p>\n I always heard Entrepreneur, Gary Vaynerchuk, preach about documenting your journey in audio (podcasting) form, because it\u2019s passive consumption.<\/p>\n Which means you can listen to podcasts while driving, walking, and essentially whenever and wherever you want.<\/p>\n With vlogs, on the other hand, you can\u2019t go away from the YouTube app and multitask, so you have to sit there and watch.<\/p>\n I realized that I couldn\u2019t go on with my entrepreneurial journey without telling the world about it in some way while also trying to provide value, because I believe that the people who are willing to discuss their journeys instead of trying to front themselves as the \u201cnext big thing\u201d are going to win.<\/p>\n My podcast is called,The Adrielomo Audio Experience, which stems from Gary Vaynerchuk\u2019s podcast title (The GaryVee Audio Experience).<\/p>\n Since he\u2019s an inspiration of mine and his podcast essentially documents his entrepreneurial journey, I thought it would be fit so I put my personal brand\/side hustle name, \u2018Adrielomo\u2019 in place.<\/p>\n The \u2018omo\u2019 in the name stands for \u201cOn My Own\u201d (a thing started by music artist, PARTYNEXTDOOR”). I had \u2018adrielomo\u2019 as my social media handles for a few years, and decided that\u2019s the name I would associate my personal brand with, because I think it sounds cool and I\u2019m doing a lot of things in life on my own.<\/p>\n My podcast is about my entrepreneurial journey, so I\u2019ll record interviews I\u2019ve done, business meetings, thoughts, and updates on things going on in my business world, and put them out for the whole world to hear. It\u2019s actually a smart strategy, because I essentially don\u2019t spend time creating content for my podcast (besides thoughts & updates). I just clip on a mic to myself and off I go.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t do interviews, have meetings, or create content just for the sake of having content to put out. I\u2019m not a fan of that. If there\u2019s no content for weeks, it\u2019s because I have nothing to share.<\/p>\n My podcast setup is simple. I attach a Lavalier mic to my shirt and I record the audio through the Voice Memos app on my phone, so the mic is attached to my phone.<\/p>\n I plan to get a wireless mic set in the near future so it\u2019s more convenient. After I\u2019m done recording I\u2019ll send the file to my email and edit it using Adobe Audition.<\/p>\n I promote my podcast by putting a link in my Instagram<\/a> and Twitter<\/a> profiles that links to a page with the platforms my podcast is on, because not everyone listens to podcasts on the Apple Podcasts app, and not everyone has apple devices, so having one centralized link that links to all the platforms is better.<\/p>\n I also create micro-content that lives on Instagram, which stems from a part of an episode. So I\u2019ll share a clip on an informational part of an episode that brings value, which can potentially lead to new listeners, because you may say something that resonates with someone.<\/p>\n I now know that creating a cadence of when your audience should expect new episodes and putting out content weekly or daily, will make your podcast perform better.<\/p>\n As I stated earlier, since I\u2019m not running a show that\u2019s built on me sitting down talking, there\u2019s no way for me to put out content on a weekly or daily basis, because activity isn\u2019t happening on a daily basis, and sometimes for weeks.<\/p>\n Are any of you entrepreneurs?
