This series is all about Libsyn\u2019s podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I started podcasting in 2008 with the launch of a show called, Cooking with the Moms. I cohosted that show when I was with Meal Makeovers Mom. That website platform was rebranded in 2017, and the Liz\u2019s Healthy Table blog and podcast were born.<\/p>\n I started podcasting before most people even knew what a podcast was! I was looking for a new and exciting way to reach a broader audience. As a registered dietitian and cookbook author with a passion for helping families eat a healthy diet, the podcasting route made sense.<\/p>\n We recorded 297 episodes, and the show was downloaded millions of times! We made a positive impact on people\u2019s lives based on the emails and feedback we received. It was thrilling and exciting, and we never ran out of healthy eating topics.<\/p>\n My new show was launched in 2017, and it\u2019s called, Liz\u2019s Healthy Table<\/a>. Here\u2019s how I describe my show:<\/p>\n If you\u2019re looking for a healthy new way to feed your family without hassle or hype, you\u2019ve come to the right place. Welcome to my podcast, Liz\u2019s Healthy Table, where I serve up wholesome, flavorful recipes with a tasty side of science, good nutrition, and fun.<\/p>\n I post a new episode every two weeks, and the topics I cover include everything from Fermented Foods\u2014what they are and why your family should eat them\u2014to Eating Meatless More Often, the Instant Pot Craze, and the Magic of Meal Planning.<\/p>\n I invite an expert guest to join me each week, and I always include listener questions, recipes, and supporting Show Notes. I offer lots of giveaways too, especially when cookbook authors and chefs come onto the show.<\/p>\n I record my podcasts using Skype. A piece of software called, Call Recorder, records the interviews. I then send the interview files to my editor at Team Podcast. I use an external microphone and headset.<\/p>\n I promote Liz\u2019s Healthy Table in my bi-monthly e-newsletter and via Twitter<\/a>, Facebook<\/a>, Pinterest<\/a>, and Linkedin<\/a>. I also ask my guests to share their episodes with their audiences.<\/p>\n When I started podcasting in 2008, we were new to the game. And with little competition, we pretty much owned the food\/nutrition space.<\/p>\n When I launched my new show, I jumped right in. But I wish I had started the new show with more of a splash with several shows and lots of reviews.<\/p>\n By doing that, I might have been featured in New and Notable on iTunes. So in hindsight, I should have been less of an eager beaver and planned a bit better!<\/p>\n Healthy food? Cutting through the hassle and hype about cooking, diet and feeding your family?
