When did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

Our show has been live since August of 2018.<\/p>\n

Why did you start podcasting?<\/h3>\n

We started our podcast because we felt there was a void in the FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early)\u00a0community for families, women and persons of color.<\/p>\n

We are busy working mompreneurs with nine children between us.\u00a0 We understand the unique challenges of raising a family while also pursuing financial independence.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the name of your show and what is it about?<\/h3>\n

We are the House of FI<\/a> podcast and we aim to inspire and encourage families of all shapes and demographics to achieve financial independence by teaching them to become debt free, build wealth, and increase their income.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.<\/h3>\n

We each record remotely on our respective laptops in our home office\/studios.\u00a0 We use Adobe Audition for editing and Zoom to record.<\/p>\n

How have you promoted your podcast?<\/h3>\n

Our podcast is promoted primarily on Facebook<\/a>, Instagram<\/a>, Twitter<\/a> and Pinterest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?<\/h3>\n

I don\u2019t think either one us realized how consumed we would become by what we are doing and how many people we are helping.<\/p>\n

We have both had to learn so much more than we ever imagined to put out a quality show – but the bonus is that it has ignited a passion in both of us.<\/p>\n

When beginning a new venture like this, you hope that what you are doing will be successful and reach the people you want it to – but to see it actually come to fruition has been surreal at times.<\/p>\n
