This series is all about libsyn\u2019s newest podcasters. Its sole purpose is to introduce these awesome podcasts to the world as well as share their podcasting insight to empower the community!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I JUST returned to doing it a couple weeks ago. I\u2019d tried podcasting years and years ago, but it was one of those projects that just didn\u2019t make sense with my life and it was hard to sustain.<\/p>\n What you learn when you guest on other people\u2019s podcasts\u2013I just did Julie Klausner\u2019s a couple weeks ago\u2013or do your own is just how much work it is and how amazing it is that people make us these things for our pleasure.<\/p>\n People like Julie do an AMAZING job and it\u2019s a lot of work!<\/p>\n I really thought there was an opening in the \u201cgiving people who take the subway to work in the late morning something to listen to\u201d market.<\/p>\n That might not be true! But I really wanted someone to tell me everything in the morning that I wanted to know, and no one was, so I had to do it myself.<\/p>\n Well we\u2019ll see how it changes over time (if I can sustain it!), but right now, I want it to be \u201cfun, cool, weird things for New Yorkers to know about and do.\u201d<\/p>\n Oh it\u2019s pretty, uh\u2026 pitiful. I keep Garageband or Logic open on my computer at all times, so in the mornings I just have some coffee, talk at my laptop for two minutes, and upload it to you guys.<\/p>\n True confession: I don\u2019t even listen to it before I upload it. If I make a big production out of this, then I\u2019ll never actually get it done.<\/p>\n Right now we run it as the first post of the day on The Awl, at 9 a.m., so it kills two early birds with one stone. Other than that I\u2019m not sure I really want to promote it too much, as it\u2019s pretty\u2026 DIY lo-fi. At best.<\/p>\n But I can definitely say there\u2019d be no way I\u2019d be able to do this without Libsyn.
