Amazon Prime Podcasting Gear Wishlist 2022

There’s nothing like scoring great podcasting gear for even better prices! Prime Day is almost here to help you stock up on the best tools and products to up-level your podcast.

In case you don’t quite know what Prime Day is, it’s a two-day shopping event with exclusive deals for Amazon Prime members. Historically, there are many deep discounts on all kinds of items, sometimes even better deals than Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

NOTE: We’re not making any money off this, no affiliate links on this post! Simply fun recommendations from our people.

This year, Prime Day is July 12 AND July 13, and we’ve reached out to some of our amazing affiliates to share great podcasting wish-list items so you know what to keep an eye out for on Tuesday. They also gave us their recs for favorite gear under $100!

May the podcasting deals be with you and may you invest wisely!

Podcasting Gear Recs from Podcasters

Mur Lafferty

Podcast GearThe first woman podcaster entered into the Podcaster Hall of Fame, Mur Lafferty is the host of I Should Be Writing, a podcast designed to help you get past writing blocks. Mur doesn’t stop at this podcast but also hosts three more and is an award-winning author plus founder of an awesome community — The Ink Stained Fabulists!

As a new podcaster, Mur suggests something that has decent quality whether you are at home or traveling. Zoom products are her go-tos — Zoom iQ6 Stereo X/Y Microphone and the Zoom H1n Portable Recorder

For under $100, Mur would purchase a dynamic microphone for a home setup from Zoom — Zoom Dynamic Microphone for Podcasts. As some non-Amazon related purchases, for editing she discovered Amadeus Pro is more stable for Mac users and is currently $60 a month through the Mac App Store. When it comes to your logo, a Canva subscription at $13 a month is the best money a non-graphic designer can spend. (There is also a free Canva version!)

Dr. Pamela Gay

Podcast Hall of Famer, astronomer and co-host of the Astronomy Cast podcast, Dr. Pamela Gay is also a writer and technologist. Dedicated to teaching and engaging people in learning and doing astronomy through podcasting and social media, she takes listeners on facts-based journeys through our Cosmos each week.

Pamela gave us a resourceful list of equipment for new podcasters to consider purchasing; the microphones — Shure MV51, Logitech for creators Blue Yeticaster, and Blue Snowball plus Sennheiser Over-Ear Headphones, a Stream Deck and the Logitech Brio Webcam as other product necessities.

For products under $100, Pamela’s wishlist includes the Blue Snowball, the Sennheiser Headphones (both mentioned above) and the Logitech C920
