Q & A with Michael from The Avert Your Eyes Podcast
When did you start podcasting?
I started podcasting at the end of August, but was considering it for quite a few years.
Why did you start podcasting?
I have done stand-up comedy off and on for several years and have been learning improv the past few years. I realized in talking with some of these performers I have spent so much time with that they had amazing stories and that they needed to be told.
What’s your show about?
The Avert Your Eyes podcast is about having a discussion with some of the creative people around the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond.
We talk with these interesting characters and discuss their upbringing, what brought them to their profession be it performing comedy, making films, music, etc.
What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.
Varies.
I have an HP laptop and I use Audacity currently with a Blue snowball mic. I also have a scarlet 2i2 interface I can use.
How have you promoted your podcast?
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
That I should have started much sooner.
