When did you think about starting a podcast?

I released my first episodes in March of 2018. 

Why did you start podcasting?

I struggled with food, eating and my weight for around 40 years. 

When I discovered how to lose weight without dieting — just by changing how and why I ate — it was so much easier and sustainable than dieting. 

I decided to launch Weight Loss for Foodies to share what I learned with anyone who was interested so they could end their own struggle. 

I also thought it could be a good way to get people interested in my group coaching program if they needed more support and information than they received from listening to the podcast. 

What’s the name of your show and what is it about?

Weight Loss for Foodies. 

It’s about helping people lose weight without dieting by teaching them how to trust their inner wisdom again, and make peace with food and eating. 

It’s about the importance of getting off the diet hamster wheel and conscious eating. Learning to stop emotional eating and love yourself, regardless of body size or your perception of it. 

What’s your podcast set up

I record my podcast using Garageband with an ATR-2100X mic and Bose headphones. Pretty simple. I record it in my walk-in closet 

How have you promoted your podcast? 

Mostly with  my weekly newsletter, in my Facebook group, Ditch the Diet Tribe, posting on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn.  

I have done a little facebook and instagram advertising. I could definitely do a better job of promotion!

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started? 

I still wish I knew how to monetize it. I have one sponsor who came to me, and haven’t really looked into that very much.
