Q & A with David Hooper from Real Entrepreneur Development RED
When did you start podcasting?
This podcast started in June 2014.
Why did you start podcasting?
I have a broadcasting background and broadcast radio is great, but wanted an option to get content to people in a way that was more direct, without having to worry about so many filters.
What’s your show about?
RED stands for Real Entrepreneur Development and the purpose is to help content creators (bloggers, podcasters, authors, etc) spread their messages.
What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.
Hardware – iMacs with Blue Yeti mice
Software – Audacity, Skype, WordPress
How have you promoted your podcast?
We had a 30-day giveaway to launch things.
Much of our success has been reaching out to like-minded people individually though.
This podcast is one part of a greater entrepreneur community we are building.
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
I wish we’d known more about automated contest options. That would have made our contest a lot less work.
As a content creator, if you are interested in spreading your message, then you really must subscribe to RED. If you happen to have suggestions for upcoming show copies go ahead and touch base with David over on Twitter.
For those of you that have been wanting a more direct approach to reaching more people with no filter, like David mentioned, we’d love for you to host your media with us!
