Q & A with Stuart from The Couple’s Expert Podcast
When did you start podcasting?
I have been podcasting for about eight months now I began podcasting after listening to a webinar from a marketing consultant about the benefits to marketing my counseling practice and how it would be helpful to get my message out about the importance of having a truly loving connected relationship
Why did you start podcasting?
I started podcasting additionally because I thought it would be fun.
I have a theater background and it just seems to fit my personality very well.
What I didn’t expect is the significance it has taken to me and now my investment in the podcast has expanded from it just being something to do for fun to realizing that it can really make a difference in peoples lives and allow me to teach the message of vulnerability and the importance of feeling really close to your partner.
What’s your show about?
My show is titled the couples expert relationship podcast because I am wanting to really spread the word on the importance of relationships and how it truly can change the world .
If we learn how to be open and vulnerable we can really know how important we are to the people in our lives.. It also hopefully spreading the word that there is a clear roadmap that we now know with all the research on love and relationships on how to have close connected relationships and that anyone can do that.
If two people want a relationship where both feel secure and loved and important this is an obtainable goal and not pie in the sky and a fantasy couples are doing and all around the worlds with incredible success.
What’s your podcasting set-up? Hardware, software, CMS, etc.
My podcast and set up this quite simple is my Macintosh computer along with a audio technica 2020 studio microphone and a Sony studio monitor headset along with garageband , no mixer and no additional equipment.
This has allowed me to have what I think is a pretty professionally sounding podcast people will have to make that assessment for themselves .
How have you promoted your podcast?
So far I’ve promoted my podcast to my email list of my practice and also on Google plus and all the social media sites I also do a blog with the podcast that gets the podcast out and I’ve been fortunate that the podcast has been on the first page of Google
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
What I wish I knew before that I know now is how important it is to promote yourself through your podcast and remind people to subscribe and to get the word out about your podcasts. I don’t do enough self-promoting and I think I need to do more of that.
We know you have a relationship, and it can’t always be sugar plums and unicorns, so you need to listen and of course subscribe.
You can connect with the podcast via Twitter or Facebook!
If you have a practice that you feel needs a bit more connection with your clients, why don’t you start a podcast? We’d love to host your media!.
