Are you using Libsyn’s Custom Domain feature? Then you need to read this!
Updates are coming and we want to make sure your domain is ready.
Not using the feature but want to learn more? Details about our custom domain solution can be found here.
When you setup your domain to point to Libsyn, you likely did so using one of 3 methods:
- Updating the name servers for your domain using Libsyn’s name servers
- Pointing an A record to Libsyn’s specified IP address OR
- Setting up a CNAME record
This article is aimed at those who are specifically pointing their custom domain to Libsyn using an A record.
Libsyn is currently making moves and upgrades to her network and server infrastructure, And in that process the IP address that is used for A records is changing. Anyone using an A record to point to a Libsyn IP address will need to update to Libsyn’s new IP address.
The old IP address is:
204.16.244.13
The new IP address to use is:
204.16.246.222
If you are pointing your custom domain to Libsyn utilizing an A record, please contact your DNS host and have that A record updated to the new IP address listed above.
Both IP addresses will remain available throughout October, 2019, after which the old IP address will be taken offline.
