It’s the time of the year!
When podcasters take a break…
When your listeners either stop listening or binge listen…
When you try try try try to put out an episode hard as you can and holiday end of the year duties get in the way…
And then, when you are READY TO DO IT…something goes wonky…
GAH!
We wanted to prepare you, just in case you happen to be scheduling big releases, new podcast launches or maybe simply keeping up your current podcast schedule and you need help or support from Apple.
Every year, the iTunes team takes a holiday and their support is on a different schedule and submissions and updates are also on a bit of a different timeframe.
The Apple team sent out an email last week, preparing podcasters for this ahead of time!
We are posting the excerpt from the email that is most relevant to you so that they are aware of what’s coming!
The bummer is that you only got this email if you currently have a podcast in iTunes, so all of you about to be podcasters have no idea! So here you go, directly from Apple!
To prepare for the winter season, we’re adjusting our deadlines for Podcast submissions. If you plan on releasing new Podcasts on iTunes in December 2016 and January 2017, check the following submission deadlines:
